Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science from the University of Zaragoza.
Specialization courses in Internet Computing, Knowledge Management and Project Management from the Catalonian Open University (UOC).
PhD in Computer Science from the University of Zaragoza.
At present, I am working as Senior Researcher at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), Spain. I belong to the Ontology Engineering Group (OEG), which participates in leading research projects on semantics and knowledge engineering.
From 2004 to 2009 I worked at the University of Zaragoza, teaching and researching as Part-time Lecturer and as Ayudante (Assistant). I also stayed for six months at Knowldege Media Institute (Open University, United Kingdom) as Visiting Researcher.
From 1998 to 2003 I worked at companies belonging to the Accenture group and the Telecom Italia group, taking part in software engineering projects for important telecommunications and service firms (Retevisión, Auna, Danone), thus having acquired knowledge and experience in these areas:
- Active Databases
- Data Warehousing
- Relational Databases modelling
- Integration with Workflow systems
- Web technologies
- Networking inventory and service provisioning systems for telecommunication companies
I have got my PhD in Computer Science on 16/10/2009 with the thesis titled "Integration and Disambiguation Techniques for Semantic Heterogeneity Reduction on the Web", supervised by Dr. Eduardo Mena.
Member of the Ontology Engineering Group (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain), led by Prof. Asunción Gómez-Pérez.
Member of the Distributed Information Systems Group (University of Zaragoza), led by Dr. Eduardo Mena.
